Things To Do

We couldn't be more excited to welcome you to Bergen County, where we both grew up! We've listed some of our favorite local activities below, but if you're coming from far away, it might be worth a visit to New York City, which is about 40 minutes away by car. Feel free to reach out to us with any questions – we're happy to share more detailed recommendations (including specific restaurants, bars, etc.) if you'd like.

Downtown Ridgewood

Ridgewood, NJ 07450

Quaint and walkable, Ridgewood’s downtown area has lots of boutiques, coffee shops, restaurants, and bars – perfect for a leisurely stroll. Grab a cup of coffee at Tatte, check out the rooftop bar at Felina, and enjoy the live music in the evenings at Steel Wheel Tavern.

Ramapo Valley County Reservation

608 Ramapo Valley Road, Mahwah, NJ 07430

Get some fresh air at Ramapo Reservation in Anna's hometown of Mahwah. The park has trails for all levels, whether you want a relaxed walk by the water or a more challenging hike with beautiful mountain views – just don't miss the waterfall!

Paramus Golf Course

314 Paramus Road, Paramus, NJ 07652

Paramus Golf Course is a well-maintained municipal golf course with an attached restaurant and bar. In addition to Paramus, we recommend the following county courses: Darlington in Mahwah, Soldier Hill in Emerson, and Valley Brook in River Vale.

Tice's Corner Marketplace

441 Chestnut Ridge Road, Woodcliff Lake, NJ 07677

Right near the Marriott Park Ridge, this outdoor shopping center is home to stores like Apple, J. Crew, and Anthropologie, with Starbucks and Panera for when you need a break.

MetLife Stadium

1 MetLife Stadium Drive, East Rutherford, NJ 07073

If you thought the Giants and the Jets played in New York, think again! MetLife Stadium, which both "New York" football teams share, is right here in Bergen County. We're Giants fans, but the Jets play the Steelers at home on Sunday, Sept. 7.
