Anna and David's story actually began many years ago, long before their paths ever officially crossed. Once upon a time, David met Greg (his Best Man) at Virginia Tech and became his roommate. Greg just so happened to be Anna's friend from high school and also the brother of Anna's best friend (and Matron of Honor), Alice. Over the years, David spent a lot of time with Greg's family and got to know Alice. Anna heard David's name mentioned quite a few times, but it wasn't until 2014 that Anna and David met briefly one night at Alice's apartment. However, the timing was not yet right... and another 3 years passed of Anna and David living parallel but separate lives. In the summer of 2017, Alice was getting married, and hired David to play violin at her wedding. This time, Alice decided that Anna and David should get to know each other, and she sneakily invited Anna to her house while David was there to practice the wedding music. Anna and David hit it off immediately, but both became uncharacteristically shy and nervous. Following a subsequent trip to the county fair with friends (also orchestrated by Alice) and dancing late into the night together at Alice's wedding, Anna and David began to realize they had both found what they had spent so many years waiting and praying for. The rest, as they say, is history. On October 23, 2018, under a handmade archway of flowers on the piece of land where their future home will one day be built, David asked Anna to spend forever with him. Anna and David are so grateful to God for bringing them together (and using their best friends to help accomplish it) in His perfect timing.
