We have been trying to be very Covid conscious and follow CDC guidelines with all of our wedding decisions. We take the health and safety of our guests very seriously! As such, we are requesting all unvaccinated guests properly mask when indoors and when not at their table. Those guest may remove their masks once they are at their table if they are eating or drinking. Our ceremony will be held outdoors we will have that area open during our reception for all of our guests to use. Masks will not be required when outside, however we do ask that you social distance until you know you are by someone who is okay with you being closer. We are also under-seating our tables, our pizza buffet will be served by servers, and we plan to have the large garage doors open the entire time as well as a handful of outdoor games available. We are working on the honor system here and trust those celebrating with us respect us enough to honor our decision. Thank you for your cooperation!
Why, yes we did! When we decided to postpone our 2020 date for the safety of our family and friends, we chose to "let love win" and have small ceremony in Ann's parents' front yard. While we may legally be married, we can't wait to have a full ceremony and celebration with everyone in 2021!
Yep, Labor Day Sunday! We thought it might actually help our out of town guests since most people have Monday off already. You can arrive Saturday or Sunday, leave Monday and not have to take any days off work if you don't want to. Better yet, take another day off work and have an even longer weekend!
Great question! Check out the Schedule page of our website for details on the wheres and whens. :)
Woah, another great question! Any gift is extremely generous and very much appreciated, if you'd like to know what we're in specific need of, or you're looking for ideas, check out our Registry page.
Man, this was a doozy in the planning process! Do you know how hard it is to get hotel blocks in the fall in Green Bay before you know the Packer schedule?? We didn't until Ann said she wanted to get married in the Fall. Buuuut, keeping the wedding on Labor Day Sunday between pre-season and the kickoff of regular season allowed us to secure two hotel blocks for our out of town guests. Check out the Hotel page for all the details!
Even though it's sometimes frowned upon, we're going to answer your question with a question! What did your invitation say? If it said “and Guest,” after your name then by all means, show that date off...but if your invitation just had your name on it, then we'd ask that just you come to celebrate with us.
Quick answer - it depends. It depends on which hotel you choose to stay at. If you're at the Home2 Suites, it's right across the parking lot from Badger State, so one great option is simply walking. We're sure there's an Uber that'd be willing to make some money driving you that far, but we feel like it may be a waste of money. :) If you're at Aloft ____. If you're from the area or are at any other hotel we can't guarantee they'll shuttle you anywhere, but you can always call on an Uber or Lyft. :)
When picking out her dress, Ann had a requirement besides the typical it had to be beautiful...it had to be comfortable! And if the bride is dressing for comfort, why can't our cherished guests? However, Nick will be forgoing his usual sweatpants for the big day, so we would ask that you steer clear of those and jeans as well. So we'd love to see you in your dress up clothes, but also we want you to be comfortable...and ready to celebrate with us! Also, keep in mind that the ceremony is set to be outside (weather permitting) and you will be walking on some grass. We're also planning to have yard games out on the grass during the reception so just make sure your shoes allow you to feel comfortable doing that!
