Shriya and Ankur’s story began in February 2022 reconnecting on Dil Mil after several years. After several weeks of talking, Ankur convinced Shriya to fly out to CT for the weekend. He picked her up from JFK and planned a romantic weekend for her. They spent the weekend getting to know one another - dancing, eating, and sight seeing. Ankur and Shriya quickly became inseparable, making plans whenever they could to see each other. They had many similar interests. They loved traveling together, watching sports, and exploring. Shriya quickly found her home in Ankur, and being that he lived in CT, she would never want to leave without a return ticket. Even though Ankur would tease her about this, he knew he never wanted her to leave as well. In no time they introduced each other to their friends and family. It was an effortless introduction for both of them to connect with their loved ones. Everyone knew they were the perfect fit for one another. Shriya finally made her move to CT, starting a new job and life with Ankur. It was their tradition to plan a vacation for a week right before Labor Day weekend. This time the vacation Ankur had planned was something Shriya would never forget. Ankur took her to Italy for two weeks and ended the trip surprising her with a beautiful proposal on a boat overlooking the Amalfi Coast at sunset. What made the proposal even sweeter was he surprised her with their families! They danced, celebrated, and came back from Italy engaged. <3
