We plan to show our gratitude to those who do make the trip by sharing our favourite places and activities with you. More details about travel and hotels can be found on the next page. Of course, we completely understand that this will not be feasible for everyone and look forward to celebrating in London with you all!

Boat day, Alappuzha

8:00 am - 4:00 pm

We'll head out from The Trident to the Alappuzha backwaters to spend the day on a couple of houseboats... Think 'boat day' surrounded by paddy fields and palm trees on a traditional Keralan 'kettuvallam'. It's George's favourite part of Kerala for good reason! Please note: Lunch and alcohol will served on the boat, and you will be dropped back off at The Trident.

Madhuram Veppu, Kochi

6:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Dress code: White and gold, ideally traditional Keralan

The Madhuram Veppu (literally 'placing sweets') is a Keralan Christian tradition where both the bride and groom’s respective families gather to celebrate, and kick-off the wedding festivities as a single family. The parents feed them sweets, to represent the sweetness of the new married life to come.
