This is a short (but sweet) tale of how two people who were very unlikely to meet each other, ultimately did through a phone application, good timing, and pure serendipitous luck. Vannesa was a hardworking and adventurous girl who was about to embark on a tough academic journey (and eventually did get her MBA - major shoutout). Anjishnu (AJ) was deep in his professional journey and had just moved to Colorado to find his calling (as most who move here try to do). Little did they know their individual peace and quiet was about to be changed forever. Through the magic of not one, but TWO well known dating apps (because why stop at one when it's true love), fate intertwined these two stubborn, loyal, loving single people, and allowed a few chat messages to pique enough interest in each other. Not long after that, AJ arranged a casual first date at a local Denver brewery. Given it was still COVID times, it was definitely awkward to show up to a date with a mask.. so imagine his relief when she took her mask off and was gorgeous! AJ and Vannesa sat there at the brewery for close to FIVE hours, not realizing the minutes just slipping by. Afterwards, AJ, on one of the coldest winter nights, suggested a walk to a nearby ice cream shop for a late night dessert. Although it sounded like a good idea at the time, they were both frozen by the time they got to the ice cream shop, but not enough to dampen the spark of the best first date ever. The next few months were a little rocky and on-off for these love birds but as fate would have it, they found themselves drawn to each other to the point where they eventually couldn’t see themselves with anyone else. And the rest, as they say.. well you already know. Three years after that, AJ took Vannesa on the exact same first date they had, on the third anniversary of the same date, to propose in front of the same ice cream shop (and yes, it was still freezing like the first night). Los siguientes meses fueron un poco turbulentos e intermitentes para estos tortolitos, pero el destino quiso que se sintieran tan atraídos el uno por el otro que finalmente no se veían con nadie más. Y el resto, como dicen... bueno, ya lo saben. Tres años después, AJ llevó a Vannesa a la misma primera cita que tuvieron, en el tercer aniversario de la misma fecha, para proponerle matrimonio frente a la misma heladería (y sí, seguía haciendo mucho frio como la primera noche).
