Anjelica and Stephen met on Bumble, where they were trying to find the one. Anjelica was still grieving the loss of her beloved mother and had nearly given up on finding love when she came across Stephen's profile and swiped right. He reciprocated and they started talking, quickly developing a rapport that left both of them eagerly awaiting the other's reply. The night before Anjelica left for New York for a grad school intensive, Stephen suggested going on an impromptu date at Half Price Books and she said yes, surprisingly. They met and talked until the store closed. Stephen took her home and they both knew they had found someone special. During the week she was away, Anjelica and Stephen talked on the phone every night and he picked her up from the airport. They've been inseparable ever since, becoming a blended family with Stephen's two children. They moved in together in August 2023 and are now expecting their first child.
