We're getting married!

Our love story began in 2018 on a neighborhood basketball court. It was one of those casual, unexpected moments that changes everything. Something about that day stayed with us. We couldn’t explain it, but we just knew. From that day on, we were inseparable. From high school dances to college move-ins, we didn’t just date, we grew up together. We supported each other through milestones, changes, and all the in-between moments that shaped who we are today. We spent two years long distance before Nick transferred to Baylor, and our time in Waco quickly became one of our favorite chapters, filled with game days, late-night study breaks, and building a life side by side. After graduation, life took us in different directions as Aniyah moved to El Paso to begin dental school, and we entered another season of long distance. It wasn’t always easy, but it was filled with growth, sacrifice, and unwavering support. Through every late-night phone call and weekend visit, Nick showed Aniyah what it means to show up for someone, even when it’s hard. Then, in a perfect full-circle moment, Nick proposed in Waco, our college town and a place that holds so many of our most cherished memories. He chose a spot that felt so “us” and completely surprised Aniyah. The biggest surprise came just after the proposal when we saw all of our closest friends and family waiting to celebrate with us. It was overwhelming in the best way, filled with joy, tears, and so much love. We spent the rest of that day surrounded by the people who mean the most to us, soaking in the moment and celebrating together. Having our loved ones there made everything even more meaningful, and it is a weekend we will never forget. Eventually, life led us to a new adventure as Nick moved to El Paso so we could be together again. Us embracing a new city and standing by each other through the challenges of school has been a constant reminder of how lucky we are to have each other and to choose “us” in every season. Our journey has been filled with laughter, love, growth, and the kind of partnership that feels steady even in life’s chaos. We have shared so many chapters, but this one, the one where we celebrate with the people who have loved and supported us, is one we have dreamed about for a long time.
