Our story began at our very first job together at the Merritt Canteen in Bridgeport. At the time, I had already been best friends with Manuel’s twin brother, Daniel, without even knowing he had a twin. One day, I accidentally called Manuel by Daniel’s name, and instead of correcting me, he completely ignored me. Once the confusion was finally cleared up, we quickly created a friendship that was entirely our own. At work, I would constantly steal Manuel’s jobs, and he would get revenge by throwing bread clips and small fries at me whenever he had the chance. What started as playful teasing quickly turned into nonstop laughter, long conversations, and a connection neither of us expected. Before we knew it, we were inseparable. On February 18, 2020, just two days before my 18th birthday, our friendship turned into the beginning of forever. Since then, we’ve traveled the world together, making memories everywhere we go, including Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, the Bahamas, Mexico, Thailand, and even a cross-country road trip across the United States. During that road trip, at the Grand Canyon, Manuel asked me to spend forever together, and of course, I said yes. Now, after years of love, laughter, adventure, and growing together, we are so excited to celebrate the beginning of our next chapter with all of the people we love most on September 18, 2026.
