Shea Lawson and Anita Brown met on September 29, 2006 at a Bar & Grill in Richmond, VA. As fate would have it, two native Virginians who both currently lived in Tennessee, happen to meet while visiting their home town It was a day of celebration! Shea was out with his Fraternity Brothers after returning from Iraq and Anita was out celebrating her cousin's 21st Birthday. Anita was wearing a gold shimmery dress with a ribbon around her waist, and Shea full of confidence and swag, approached her looking as handsome as ever. Sparks instantly flew! They dated for over a year, traveling every weekend to see each other. At the time, Anita was in her undergraduate Senior year at University of TN, Knoxville and Shea worked at the Fort Campbell military base in Clarksville, TN. The timing and distance encouraged friendship. However, their spark never dimmed, and as years passed Shea always kept tabs and never stopped communicating with Anita. As she traveled the world ,lived in various states, and completed her residency in the Virgin Islands; Shea always found a way to find her whereabouts. They would often stayed in contact. Time passed, Anita remained focused on school and became the first doctor, Dentist, in her family. Dr. Brown was "In the House" and she blossomed into her own successful woman. Mr. Lawson continued to excel in his professional endeavors as a government official. Flourishing in life and never losing sight of each other, they both realized there was no other person on earth who could light a fire in their hearts like each other and decided that they needed to be together. 20 years later from the start.... here they are! Shea playfully references Anita as his heaven sent gift with a gold bow on it because of the dress she wore when they first met and Anita playfully calls Shea, Mr. Lawson, referencing that he is the man of her dreams. Ready for their happily ever after … ready to start their family and welcome their first baby boy. Serendipitous! Their due date so close to their anniversary date in September, when they first met!
