Our story began 15 years ago when we met as co-workers at Barnes & Noble Corporate Office. Initially, our interactions were strictly professional — “What time does the mail go out?”, express mail labels, print jobs, and facility issues. Ron always seemed mean, serious, focused, and a little unfriendly. Me, on the other hand, was the complete opposite — always smiling, friendly, and often considered the “Mayor of Barnes & Noble” lol. You would think, how could opposites possibly attract? But somewhere between the deadlines, work conversations, and everyday moments, we began to see past our differences. I actually started to see him as a cutie and he began to appear less guarded and even flirtatious which I found attractive, and then there was a spark. Over time, what started as a simple workplace connection turned into a friendship built on support, understanding, and plenty of laughter. Through life’s ups and downs, we’ve been there for each other in ways that truly mattered. Fifteen years later, we can honestly say that opposites not only attract — sometimes they create the perfect balance. And now, we’re so excited to begin this next chapter together as Mr. & Mrs. Thompson surrounded by people we love most but also the people that love us deeply.
