We crossed paths years ago - back to our college days - when we were part of the same world, moving in parallel, and connected by mutual friends. Life kept placing us in the same orbit, but had its own plan for when our worlds would truly meet. Fast forward to the summer of 2022 in Atlanta: the moment our paths officially crossed. Our reconnection felt instantly easy. What began as a simple conversation quickly turned into something we both paid attention to. A few months later, Anish invited Vandana to his nonprofit World Cup watch party. It wasn’t just the invite - it reflected what mattered to him: community, showing up for something bigger, and bringing people together. After the party, the weekend continued into a date night, and somewhere between the laughter, the conversation, and the feeling of peace, it became clear to both of us: this was it. One date was all it took... We were drawn to the same things: love for family, a deep commitment to creating community, self-growth, spirituality, and a shared desire to live fully and with intention. From college acquaintances to an Atlanta turning point, our story has been years in the making. Now, we get to write the best part together starting with a beautiful proposal in Tokyo, Japan at Senso-Ji Temple, which Anish choose because it is the oldest temple in Japan starting our journey with blessings.
