In case you are looking to adopt a new pet, PAWS is the best place to visit. They are Philly's first no-kill shelter, and have some of the best animals. Frederick and Patricia are both PAWS cats, and even though Ramona never had to go to the shelter, she fully supports PAWS!
The Belmont Mansion is a wonderful place to visit for two reasons - it has a beautiful view of the Philly skyline, but more importantly, it is a wonderful museum, highlighting the Underground Railroad. Your entry fee goes directly towards their preservation efforts.
