So, you want to know how this all started? Alright, settle in and picture this: It’s 2017… DJ Khaled’s “Wild Thoughts” is playing everywhere you go. Jeff’s Bucket Shop is still popping pop corn while people sing their hearts out during karaoke. South Side isn’t a pile of dust yet. Can you see it? Great. Anisa was an ICU nurse fresh off her lengthy orientation. Kris worked as a lead in patient transport. One night, Kris moved one of Anisa’s patients to a new room. After that, they saw each other everywhere (although most of it was from Kris stalking Anisa- not in a creepy way). One day, after Anisa friend requested Kris on Facebook, they exchanged numbers and Kris asked Anisa to hang out after his shift. Anisa was with Brandi and Brannon (they may sound familiar because they are both in the wedding party!) and convinced them to come out so it wasn’t weird. Well, they hit it off and Anisa invited Kris out for her 23rd birthday shortly after. Anisa likes to say after this, she and Kris never stopped hanging out. They don’t even have an official anniversary for when they started dating! Five years, an apartment, a house, new jobs, and a dog later, Kris *finally* popped the question at home while Anisa was in her finest PJs. The next day, they celebrated over lunch with the sweetest waitress and started planning. This has truly been a long time coming.
