They became known as the best of drinking buddies, always finding a reason to travel, often spending their four-day weekends exploring places like Arizona and El Paso together. Over time, their friendship only deepened. Even Ernesto’s grandparents likes Mikhail more, welcoming him like family.

Anika is deeply grateful for her kindness, strength, and the love she has shown both her and her son.

Musa has been there since the very beginning of Anika and Mikhail’s journey. When Anika made the decision to join the Air Force, Musa played a key role in supporting that transition. After she was stationed at McGuire in New Jersey, he welcomed her in like the big brother, giving her a place to land until she found her footing. When Anika and Mikhail met, Musa continued to be a steady support, even helping them through their move. Over time, Musa and Mikael formed their own friendship, bonding over their shared love for Chelsea Football Club—and enduring the highs and lows together, including the tough season when Chelsea finished seventh in the Premier League.

Neema is one of the bride’s closest friends. She is Kenyan and she and Anika met during Basic Military Training and later attended Tech School together, forming a bond that quickly turned into a lasting friendship. Although they separated after Tech School, distance never changed their connection—living only a few hours away, she has remained a constant source of support in Anika’s life. Through every challenge and milestone over the past three years, Neema has been there for the bride, proving that true friendship isn’t measured by time but by loyalty and love.
