What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

Formal Garden Attire We kindly invite you to dress in formal attire suited for an outdoor garden setting. • For women: floor-length, midi, or dressy cocktail dresses in light, airy fabrics. Patterns are welcome! • For men: suits or formal jackets with dress pants are requested; ties are encouraged. To maintain the formal atmosphere, we kindly ask that shorts and casual footwear be avoided. Kindly note the ceremony will take place outdoors on grass- block heels, wedges, or dressy flats are recommended. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Are children welcome at the wedding?

While we love your little ones, we kindly request that our wedding be an adults only celebration. We hope this gives you a chance to relax and enjoy a night out with us!

What’s the weather typically like in Florida in November?

Average temperatures in November are 70–72°F with cooler temperatures in the evening.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be outdoors. Don’t forget to bring a pair of sunglasses.

Will the ceremony be on the beach?

Answer

No, our venue is in downtown Fort Myers about 30 minutes from Fort Myers beach. We encourage guests to come in a day early or stay the weekend to enjoy some beach time. Be sure to check out our Fort Myers To Do tab for our favorite Fort Myers spots.

Do you have a room block for the wedding?

Answer

Yes, we've secured a room block for the wedding at the Luminary Hotel & Co. Autograph Collection in Fort Myers, FL. Currently the hotel is offering our guests a discounted special group rate of $259/night for Wednesday, November 4th- Saturday, November 7th. If you would like to receive the discounted room rate for additional days before or after those above, please call the hotel directly and they will honor the group rate based on availability. You can find the link to the hotel room block on the Travel & Accommodations tab on our website. The deadline to book is Wednesday, October 14, 2026.

The Alderman House is a 4 minute drive or a 15 minute walk from the hotel.
