Where is the wedding ceremony?

Answer

The marriage will be solemnized on the morning of July 27, 2019, in the Orlando Florida Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The sacred ceremony is open to a few guests and by invitation only. All guests are invited to witness the Ring Ceremony that same evening during the Wedding Reception at the Epping-Forest Yacht & Country Club on Saturday, July 27, 2019 in Jacksonville, Florida.

What is a temple wedding like?

The authority to unite families forever is called the sealing power in the scriptures. This is the same authority that Jesus gave the Apostle Peter to declare blessings on earth that will continue in heaven. In a sealing room, a bride and groom kneel together at an altar to be sealed for this life and for eternity. This ordinance is referred to as a “temple marriage” or “eternal marriage.” Knowing that our families can be together after death brings greater meaning to life. It encourages us to be honorable and faithful. It also brings peace as we face trials; even the suffering or death of loved ones. The promise of eternal life with our families helps us to understand God’s love for all people.

What are your wedding colors? Can I wear them?

Answer

Our wedding colors are pink, blush, gold, rose gold, champagne, and grey (for suits). If you are feeling festive, then please feel free to wear our signature colors.

Can I bring a plus one or children?

Answer

Since we can only accommodate those listed on your invitation, our wedding is by RSVP only. Due to necessity rather than choice, children of immediate family and of those guests traveling from out-of-state may be accommodated. Thank you so much for understanding!

Where will the bride and groom reside after the wedding?

Answer

The bride and groom will reside in Northern Virginia. Krista is a Procurement and Finance Specialist for the Smithsonian American Art Museum and The Renwick Gallery in Washington, DC. Spencer is a Professor at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College and a PhD candidate in History at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.
