Best Man
After meeting in college, Kohl and I lived together for a couple years in LA and there we continued our passion for food, basketball and social media glory. We loved training for basketball, even though his shot looks worse than Lonzo Ball’s. Kohl and I have gone through many things together; tragedy, career successes, championships, adventures, heartbreaks, and even a drive-by shooting =/ But through it all, we developed a brotherhood. Kohl makes fun of me more than everyone else in my life combined. We talk to each other almost everyday and I can’t imagine my life without his insults. Today, Kohl is a successful recruiter on his way to completing his masters degree is human resource management. I couldn’t be more proud of him and consider myself lucky to have him by my side.
Best Man
I met David during college, as well. Friends and roommates have come and gone, but if there is one constant in my life over the past 15 years, it’s been David. No matter of schedule or location, we always make time for each other. I consider David my twin; We wear the same clothes, cook and eat the same food, think the same thoughts, and we consider any game a competition between each other. But with David, it’s not really a competition because he loses all the time to me ;) He’s as reliable of a friend as they come. Everybody needs a friend like David and I honestly can’t say enough good things about him. David and his wife, Monalyn, just recently gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. He's going to be a great dad and now he'll finally be able to beat someone at some games.
Matron of Honor
Tina and I are as close to sisters as you can get without having the same parents. Close enough though, we are first cousins. So when it came to choosing my Maid of Honor, she was the obvious choice. Tina and I have been inseparable since day one. We went to the same school, were in all the same classes, had all the same friends, and did all the same things from the first day of kindergarten through 8th grade. She couldn’t get away from me no matter how hard she tried. I would literally copy everything Tina did. I clearly remember as a kid, at family gatherings, when it came time to eat, I would wait until she made her plate, then I would make the same exact plate for me, even if I didn’t agree with all of her food choices.
Matron of Honor
Tina was finally given a break from me when my family moved to Los Angeles in 2014, though we try to visit each other every chance we get. I was honored when Tina asked me to be her maid of honor when she became Mrs. Heimbach in 2011, and in the few years following, a godmother to her children Christian and Alexander, both of who I am completely in love with. Thank you for keeping me sane through my toughest moments, and thank you in advance for all the crazy you have to put up with helping me plan this wedding and all that comes with it. There is no one else I would want by my side during the most exciting time my life!
