FAQs

We are so excited to celebrate and we want to share a little context about what our day will look like. We’ve chosen to have a very small, intimate microwedding/elopement rather than a traditional wedding and keeping true to who we are. We also purchased a home last year, so we’re being mindful of our budget as we start this next chapter together. Keeping our wedding small allows us to celebrate in a way that feels both meaningful and financially responsible for us. Because of this, our wedding won’t include many of the things you might expect from a full scale wedding. Please note that we won’t have hotel room blocks reserved, so guests are welcome to choose accommodations that best fit their preferences. There are options in Thorp and Stanley for hotels and camping at Rock Dam County Park. Additionally, aside from the ceremony itself, the timeline for the day is intentionally flexible. We’re embracing a go with the flow approach rather than a structured schedule.
Question

What to wear?

Answer

In keeping with the season, we invite guests to embrace spring colors and florals, though this is entirely optional. Above all, we want you to feel comfortable and relaxed. As our celebration will take place on gravel and grass, we kindly suggest selecting footwear suitable for outdoor terrain.

Question

Are gifts expected?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding truly means the world to us and is more than enough. We are just so grateful to celebrate this special day with the people we love most. If you would like to honor us with a gift, we have created a registry to help guide you. Please know that it is completely optional — your love, support, and presence are the greatest gifts we could receive.

Question

Can I bring a plus one or additional guests?

Answer

As much as we would love to celebrate with everyone, we’ve chosen to keep our wedding day very small and intimate. We’re intentionally limiting our guest list so we can spend meaningful time with each person who is there. For this reason, we’re only able to accommodate those guests who are formally listed on the invitation. If a plus one has been reserved for you, their name will be included. Thank you so much for understanding and for being part of this special season in our lives — your love and support truly mean the world to us. 🤍

Question

What to do between the ceremony and the reception?

Answer

During this time, we’ll be taking photos with our guests. Please feel free to enjoy a beer or two and make yourselves comfortable as we capture some special moments.

Question

Can I bring my own drinks?

Answer

We will have some beverages available, including sodas and water. Guests are also welcome to bring their preferred drinks to enjoy as we celebrate together into the evening.
