Angus and Briley met by complete accident through a mutual friend at Headwaters Country Jam in the summer of 2018. The two kept in touch after and started dating October of 2018. Angus and Briley made long distance work as they were both college athletes, Angus at Dickinson State University and Briley at Miles Community College. Angus came home to help on the family ranch and Briley moved to Wibaux to be closer to Angus and her nursing school clinical. The rest is history!

Angus took Briley on one of their pickup bed dates to celebrate Briley graduating nursing school. They had pizza and some blankets as it was windy that evening. Angus parked on a hill overlooking one of the pastures of his ranch. He encouraged Briley to stand up with him where he got down on a knee, and she said YES!
