This Reservoir is great for some lake activities such as fishing, kayaking, Stand Up Paddle Boarding (SUP) or simply taking a easier hike next to. This reservoir is only 15 minutes north up Highway 84 where our venue is located. The Rocky Mountain Wildlife park is a USDA licensed privately owned zoo that has been in in operation since 1983. Their purpose is to educate the public about the native wildlife and to provide the opportunity to see these beautiful animals up close in natural habitats. They offer feeding tours and horseback riding as well. If you would like to do this type of activity please plan to make reservations. This park is only 10 minutes north off of Hwy 84 from our venue site.
The Pagosa Springs History Museum is located at the corner of 1st and Pagosa Streets, on the east side of Pagosa Springs near the bridge. The displays depict life in the area from the 1890s to the early 1900s. Step back in time and visit a dentist’s office, a barber shop, a general store and a country schoolroom. The museum is closed on Sundays so plan accordingly if you would like to visit it.
The Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts is one of the area’s largest cultural attractions, devoted to all aspects of the arts. Home of Thingamajig Theatre company, the center is continuously offering professional theatre to the Pagosa Springs area. It is located adjacent to U.S. 160 in Pagosa Springs just east of Piedra Road.
