30 Years of Forever - Vow Renewal

It all started with a conversation after going on a walk in the neighborhood with my sister. Once done, I walked past Tim’s house and we chatted because we knew each other from church. We spent a good hour or so talking about future goals and things we wanted out of life. Once home, I realized he wanted the same things I did in life. Once we talked, we both discovered we were wanting the same things in our future. We became friends at this point. We rode to church together and he helped me establish life insurance for my children. We became each other’s distraction away from life’s issues as friends and decided to begin dating. After 6 months of dating, we moved in together. The beauty of this was I accepted his 2 girls as my own, and he accepted my 3 children as his own. Wow!!! God was in this relationship even when we didn’t see it. By the 8th month of dating, we decided we wanted to make it right before God. We married on June 14, 1996. Since that day, we have faced many issues, many struggles. We’ve seen health issues, job/income loss, and the good, bad, and ugly. BUT GOD!!! 30 years later, we are still celebrating.
