Wedding Party

Angie Cook

Bride

I’ve loved every moment of our journey together and can’t wait to marry Nik! When I’m not working or planning, I love traveling, exploring new places to eat, and enjoying quiet time at home with Nik and our favorite books and hobbies.

Nik Schnebly

Groom

Nik can’t wait for the big day and to celebrate with all our friends and family! He loves hiking, fishing, exploring new places, and making every day full of laughter and adventure. This next chapter of life together is one he’s thrilled to begin.

Erin Risvold

Matron of Honor

I met Erin in Ms. Foster’s 7th grade reading class, and we’ve been inseparable ever since. In high school, we cheered together all four years, were on the competition team that won state, and partnered in DECA to win state again! She’s been by my side through it all, and I’m so grateful for her friendship, not to mention her amazing help with wedding planning.

Jack Gosage

Best Man

Jack and Nik met in 7th grade but truly became best friends in High school, where their exceptional height and weight allowed them both to play on Wheat Ridge High School’s vaunted offensive and defensive lines. Over the past 15 years, pounds have been lost, but a shared interest in ABBA, a ruined house party, and countless near death experienes in Bertha, Jack's 1990 red Chevrolet Silverado, have created a friendship that shall not be broken. We are honored to have Jack stand with us on our wedding day

Caitlin Nellis

Matron of Honor

I met Caitlin while touring NWU during my senior year of high school, and we became close through cheer and our sorority, Willard. Over the years, our friendship has grown even stronger, she’s been a constant support, and being godmother to her daughter is one of my proudest titles. Caitlin has also been an incredible help with wedding planning, and I’m so grateful to have her by my side.

Logan Thurston

Groomsman

Doane football may have brought Logan and Nik together, but a common love for professional wrestling is what keeps their friendship together. Over their 10+ year friendship, Logan and Nik have collaborated on several projects, including Relay For Life and designing T-shirts for their Fraternity, Delta Kappa Pi. In all of these projects, one theme remains present: Logan helps keep Nik in check, and Nik helps find ways to push limits.

Rob Cook

Bridesman

Rob is my brother and my oldest friend. As young children, we spent hours on adventures with Grams and Gramps. We grew up close in age with overlapping friend groups in high school. One of the reasons I chose NWU was because I wanted to be in the same city as Rob. Throughout college, we had weekly dinners together, and I loved watching him in the marching band while he always came to support me while I cheered at sporting events. Now he has two kids, and Nik and I love our roles as aunt and uncle.

Jackson Van Holland

Groomsman

Jackson and Nik met while playing football at Doane and quickly bonded over a shared interest in having a fun time while spreading mischief. Over the years their friendship has grown past just wreaking havoc on the residents of Crete, they’ve enjoyed a number of hunting and fishing expeditions, concerts, and slowpitch softball tournaments. Jackson also holds the honor of helping set these two up that fateful night at the College World Series, making him an obvious pick for groomsman

Jordyn Cook

Bridesmaid

Jordyn married my brother Rob in 2021, and I finally gained a sister. Over the years, we’ve truly bonded and created so many fun memories together, from manicures and crafting nights to watching reality TV and our many “sister nights.” It’s been such a joy getting to experience the kind of everyday fun that people with sisters talk about. For a time, she and Rob even lived across the hall from us, which made life extra fun and full of spontaneous hangouts. Now, we love being aunt and uncle to their two kids. I’m so grateful she’s part of our family and celebrating with us on this special day.

Riley Spicer

Groomsman

While playing on the offensive line at Doane, Riley and Nik bonded over shared interests comedy, cheap beer, and 90’s sports utility vehicles. Years of half-baked joke ideas, complaints about the current state of high school athletics, and obscure historical trivia have steeled their friendship against all detractors. Riley remains a constant source of support and inspiration, and we are so happy to have him as a groomsman.

Lisa Sogerer

Bridesmaid

Lisa and I met in sophomore year chemistry class in high school. She was a foreign exchange student from Germany, and we hit it off instantly. That fall was full of shared memories: classes together, band, and even toilet papering a friend’s house! Though distance has taken us to different cities over the years, we’ve stayed close. She's visited Omaha numerous times. I got to visit her in Vancouver in 2019 and we we got to continue our adventures in a new city - hiking, biking, and trying new restaurants. Every time we see each other, it feels like no time has passed at all.

Avery Wyse

Groomswoman

Avery and Nik have been through it all, whether it was concussions given by the world’s lowest hanging chandelier, numerous trips to Wyoming for fireworks, or a senior prom that went so wrong it is still mentioned in hushed tones. Years after high school, Avery and Nik (and Jack) will gather and remember their days at Wheat Ridge while also swapping stories from their current lives. Being that Avery is one of Nik’s oldest friends, she simply had to be a part of the Groomspeople, and we are thrilled to have her a part of the Wedding

Anna West

Bridesmaid

Anna and I met through a mutual friend a few weeks before starting PA school and became instant friends. We studied together throughout school, and I truly got through PA school with her support. After graduation, our friendship grew even more exciting as our hangouts shifted from study sessions to trips. From exploring NYC shortly after she moved there to a dreamy trip to Paris last spring, our friendship has thrived across school, distance, and unforgettable adventures.

Kade Wehrs

Groomsman

Kade and Nik met through the Delta Kappa Pi fraternity at Doane. Spirited discussions about college football and Avatar: The Last Airbender created a strong bond further strengthened through their work together in Relay for Life. Throughout their friendship, Kade has often worked as Nik’s moral compass, keeping him out of too much trouble during countless house parties while at Crete. We are very lucky to have Kade stand with us as a groomsman during our wedding.

Katie Noble

Flower Girl

Katie was my college roommate and became an instant best friend. From walks around campus and lakes, to movies, restaurants, sporting events, T-shirt Thursdays, and studying at the library, it truly felt like living with a sister. We even did daily yoga together, inspiring our “don’t hate meditate” poster! I’ve always joked that she would be my flower girl, and now that I’m getting married, we get to make that dream a reality.

Alyssa Brown

Flower Girl

I met Alyssa at Wesleyan, where we cheered together throughout college and worked side by side on the Panhellenic Council during the 2016. Since graduating, our friendship has grown through regular brunches spent catching up and celebrating life’s milestones. Planning our weddings at the same time has made this chapter even more fun, and I’m so happy she’ll be our flower girl.

Sandi Cook

Mother of the Bride

Mom has been a constant source of love, guidance, and support throughout my life. She’s always there to celebrate the big moments and the small ones, and I’m so grateful to have her by my side on our wedding day.

C. Todd Cook

Father of the Bride

Dad has always been a source of support, encouragement, and laughter. I’m so grateful for his guidance, his humor, and the love he’s shown me throughout my life. I’m thrilled to have him by my side on our wedding day.

Cyndi Schnebly

Mother of the Groom

Cyndi has shown her son countless acts of love in his 27 years of life, likely as a way to apologize for how she decided to spell his name. Cyndi hasn't had to drive Nik to a scouting or sporting event in close to 10 years now but she still finds ways to be there for her son like driving 8 hours for a hockey game and helping him while he was studying in grad school. It takes a strong woman to raise three boys all while working and earning a masters degree, Nik knows this and also knows that he wouldn't be where he is today without the love and support of his mother.

Scott Schnebly

Father of the Groom

Scott and Nik met in the summer of 1998 when Nik was born. Recently, Scott and Nik have connected over shared interests in outdoor recreation like hunting, fishing, and trips up offroad trails in Scott's Jeep. Scott's willingness to drive 300 or more miles to Nebraska for a hunting trip showcases the love and support that Nik has always felt from his father. Especially considering the high likelihood that they will leave the expedition empty handed.

Michael Patzloff

Officiant

Michael was the youth director at my church growing up, but more importantly, he’s a very close family friend. Even though he’s moved out of Omaha, we’ve stayed close. The night he met Nik, he shook his hand and said, “I’m Michael, and I’ll be doing the wedding!” We affectionately consider him an uncle, family by choice because we love each other.
