Our favorite beach to spend time with friends is a light walk north from the hotels. Look up 'Lifeguard Tower: Lydon Street' or 'Redondo Beach Breakwall' and follow those directions! Manual: Walk about 10 minutes, or drive 3 minutes north along the strand walkway from the Sonesta and Redondo Beach hotel, until you hit the beach! We usually set up camp right to the left of the first lifeguard tower
For those coffee junkies. Plenty of other good coffee spots listed per each beach location, but this spot is one that Angie and I visit too often.
Best breakfast Burritos - It might be a hike to get here so if you're closer to Hermosa then another great option would be Mikey's Italian Deli.
Angie and I favorite Hiking spot. Multiple trails to take but we usual do a 1mile loop. -Quarry Trail, to Basalt Tail , to Mariposa Trail to Pirate Trail - It sounds like a lot but its just a simple loop. Can't get lost, just check the map. https://www.rpvca.gov/1153/Forrestal-Reserve Great hiking spot near the ocean. https://www.rpvca.gov/1154/Ocean-Trails-Reserve
Get out on the water - Paddle board rentals. Be ready to see lots of seals in this lagoon.
Whale watching trip - This is probably not the best time to see whales, but you probably see plenty of dolphins.
Highly suggested to rent a bike for half day and cruise the South Bay Board walk. From here you can cruise up to Manhattan beach for best variety of Lunch options. few options: @ 1. Simmzys. Good burgers, Great Salmon Sando. 2. Tacolicious for street Tacos 3. Lemonade Restaurant for light lunch. For drinks: Culture brewery is a fun place to stop as well.
Great comedy Club, with the chance for some big names to show up at this club too. If you get in early or are staying through Monday then this place would be a great stop for anyone. Grab a few drinks on the hermosa pier or our favorite happy hour spot - The Stanton. Stanton has great oysters, apps and of course great drinks.
