Heady brewery that's a favorite spot of ours. You might find us (or our wedding band, Sqwerv) here before Red Rocks shows, to see live music at the brewery itself, or for livestreams of Phish shows.

Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre
An iconic music venue and park complex owned by the City of Denver! We attend shows here often, usually around 15 per year. It's worth checking out for its underground museum and easy hiking trails if you have never been.
Dinosaur Ridge Discovery Center
Outdoor dinosaur and archaeology museum. You can go on a hike and see fossils and other artifacts and history about dinosaurs in the area. The incline of the hike can be steep, so bring strollers for smaller kids.
Goosetown Station

Golden is home of Coors brewing, which offers tours and other events.
Mountain Toad Brewing
No shortage of breweries in and around Golden!
Mines Museum of Earth and Science
This is a museum in Golden with rocks, minerals, fossils, and other earth-science related objects.
South Table Mountain Park
Easy and nearby hiking trails. These are walkable from downtown Golden and have good views of Denver and the mountains.
Golden Gate Canyon State Park
One of our favorite Colorado state parks. Lots of hiking trails at different ability levels and lengths as well as picnic spots and day-use areas. $9 per day entry fee.
