This place is just beautiful - perched on top of a hill with surrounding vineyards. Certainly worth seeing for the view alone. Also - an option to stay at if rooms are available!
Tillamook Creamery
Tillamook Cheese Factory!! Take a tour, eat cheese curds and enjoy and ice cream cone in the sun - all within minutes of the beach. Trust us its SO fun. Also, highly recommend taking the scenic route from Carlton via Meadowlake Road to Trask River Road - it's beautiful.
Pacific City Beach
Eli's childhood favorite beach - huge sand dunes and beautiful views. Also the Tillamook Cheese Factory isn't too far away!
Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum
Howard Hughes' Spruce Goose is housed inside this amazing Aviation museum. Worth a look, especially if you're staying down the road at the Red Lion Inn. Plus there's a water park...

If you're staying in McMinnville and want to explore, 3rd street is the place to stroll. Plenty of restaurants, boutique shops and classic americana small town charm.
Portland
Portland is one of our favorite cities - incredible food (check out Russian restaurant Kachka), vintage/thrift shopping, bars, parks, Portland Japanese Garden and more. Maybe don't rush to your lodging from PDX and explore the city a bit first?
