Soon after Alvaro moved to the States from Venezuela, he meets Angie. Just a normal Sunday morning as Angie is leading worship she sees a new face - YUP during worship! This new cute face in addition to some gray hair...she began to Crush. "Thank You Jesus, an older, handsome looking man just walked into Your sanctuary!!" Right when church finished, one of their pastors introduced them to each other, and in his mind he said, "She HOT!" You see, he needed some more Jesus at the time! The pastor that introduced them shared how Angie HAD to hear him sing. So Angie thinks, "Handsome, In Church, Gray Hair, Now He can SING?" ***Praise Break*** As the weeks passed, Alvaro finally sang for Angie as he was trying out for the Worship Team. He sang a Luis Fonsi song "Imaginame Sin Ti." Was he pronouncing his love to her? In a worship team audition? Singing Luis Fonsi? HE sure did, and GUESS WHAT? She almost fainted. His voice was clear, confident, and beautiful. "You're in! I need your name, number, email, and date of birth." --- Date of Birth - Why would Angie need his date of birth? She was secretly, but noticeably checking out his age! (You all know how that ends!!) (If you don't, he is younger...haha...thank God for the gray hair!) Although they had many differences, the Lord had his plans. As time went on, they both had this Holy Spirit gut feeling that they were going to be with each other forever. Through the waiting, the process, and His guidance, they now begin FOREVER!

It was a chilly Friday evening, and Angie was headed with her family to the Botanical Garden in Fayetteville, NC. They were going to celebrate her sister Natalie's accomplishment in receiving an award on behalf of the city. When they arrived, someone said, "Let's take a picture in the garden before the sun goes down!" Her Daddy walked her down to the garden, and suddenly, she hears the song, "Llegaste Tu" (their song). There was a beautiful terrace with lights and flowers, and Alvaro then appears with a bouquet of flowers with the biggest smile she had ever seen. You see, Alvaro would be someone to do something random like this. But it was when she saw his mom that she knew today was the day, the day she had been dreaming of since a little girl. The Proposal. She felt the tears running down her face, and she could see his lips shivering because of the nerves. Finally, he dropped to one knee and said the most memorable, romantic words, "Angela Maria casate conmigo!" And she said, "Yes!"
