FAQs

Question

How should I dress?

Answer

Semi-Formal: Tuxes, gowns, suits, and cocktail dresses are all welcome.

Question

What precautions are you taking against COVID-19?

Answer

We understand those who might feel uncomfortable because of COVID-19, and we support your decision to not attend if you feel the risk is too high. For those who do attend, you are more than welcome to wear a mask and socially distance yourself if you feel the need to, but it will not be required. Please respect other guests decision to not take those measures!

Question

I'm not Catholic, what can I expect?

Answer

The ceremony will be held within a Catholic Mass, lasting approximately an hour. If you are not a Baptized Catholic, we kindly ask that you do not receive communion. Please feel free to process through the communion line, but cross your arms across your chest and you will receive a blessing instead. There will be a program to help you follow along with the order of the Mass.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says "and Guest" then yes, if not, we kindly ask that it is just you. If have any questions you can contact Jamie or Angelo!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive 15-30 minutes early. If you arrive immediately before/during the procession, please wait to enter the chapel until everyone has made their way up to the altar.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There will be plenty of parking at Jesuit High School for the Mass, and valet parking will be available at the Reception. The Reception house is located in Hyde Park so the parking there is minimal, but the valet attendants will take your car two lots over to one of their neighboring church parking lots, free of charge.
