We’re so excited to have you join us for our wedding in Ottawa, Canada! Here’s some helpful information to make your travel plans easier: 1. Flying to Ottawa The local airport in Ottawa is Ottawa Macdonald–Cartier International Airport (YOW). Unfortunately, there are currently no direct flights from Panama to Ottawa. You will need to book a flight with one connection, either through the USA (visa required) or another Canadian city. Alternative Arrival Options: Toronto: You can fly into either Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) or Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ). Montreal: Arrive at Montreal Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (YUL). Both Toronto and Montreal are well-connected to Ottawa by flights, buses, or trains. 2. Exploring Toronto or Montreal Beforehand If you’d like to explore Toronto or Montreal before the wedding, we recommend taking the VIA Rail train for a scenic and comfortable trip to Ottawa. If you’re traveling to Ottawa from Toronto or Montreal, VIA Rail is a convenient and comfortable option to connect these cities. Travel Times: From Toronto to Ottawa: Approx. 5 hours From Montreal to Ottawa: Approx. 3 hours Booking Tips: VIA Rail has restrictions on luggage weight, similar to air travel, so make sure to check their baggage policy before your trip. To save money, we recommend booking your train tickets along with your flights as part of your travel planning. Train Schedule: VIA Rail operates between 6:00 AM and 10:00 PM, so be sure to check their schedule and align it with your arrival time in Toronto or Montreal. Comfort & Convenience: The trains are spacious, with comfortable seating and a relaxed atmosphere—perfect for enjoying the scenic views of Canada while traveling to Ottawa.
