Flight
Recommended Airport to fly into is Kraków John Paul II International Airport (KRK). We strongly advise to arrive by Thursday morning. Once you book your flights, please let us know your estimated arrival time so we can help coordinate transportation and make travel as smooth as possible.
Train
Recommended: Direct train from Kraków Główny → Stary Sącz. For guests arriving in Kraków, we recommend traveling to our lodging by train. Trains depart from Kraków Główny (Main Kraków Station), the city’s central and main train station. We suggest booking direct trains to Stary Sącz, as these are the easiest and most convenient option. The train stops directly in front of the lodging building, making arrival very simple. Typical direct departure times (approximate): 4:00 AM, 5:40 AM, 9:00 AM, 1:30 PM, and 5:00 PM The train ride takes about 3 hours. Tickets generally cost 28–51 PLN, which is roughly $8–$14 USD (depending on the train and time). Kraków Główny is easily accessible from Kraków Airport (KRK) by taxi or public bus, both of which run frequently and take you straight to the main station.
Hotel
We have reserved lodging at Diecezjalne Centrum Pielgrzymowania im. Jana Pawła II. One-bedroom rooms are 130 PLN per night (approximately $36). Two-bedroom rooms are 110 PLN per person per night (approximately $30). A complimentary buffet-style breakfast will be served from 8:00–10:00 AM. Checkout time is 10:00 AM. Payment is accepted by cash or card. During your stay we invite you to explore the grounds at your leisure, including the museum and altar.
