Kelly and Steve met in August 2023. After a series of miscommunications, they finally met for drinks on a rainy Thursday night in Morristown. They like to joke that they met in a parking garage, which is not entirely a lie. They will also happily tell anyone who will listen that Hinge really does work. After a first date filled with great conversation and plenty of laughter, Steve was already suggesting pumpkin picking in October. Kelly tried to take things a little slower, but after a second date at Turtle Back Zoo only a few days later, making future plans no longer seemed so strange. Some might say they moved quickly in those early months. Kelly met Steve’s parents on their second date, and the couple drunkenly professed their love at a friend's engagement party that October. About nine months later, they took the leap and moved in together in Boonton, New Jersey. Between buying and selling couches, dealing with squirrels in the roof, watching Jeopardy after dinner, and spending slow mornings with Aerial America, their first year living together flew by. They love going out for breakfast, playing an occasional game of pickleball, and filling quiet moments with random noises and made-up words that somehow make perfect sense to them. After two and a half years together, Steve proposed to Kelly on the beach in Spring Lake, New Jersey, on April 4, 2026. They are so excited to celebrate with all of their favorite people when they say “I do” on April 3, 2027 at Perona Farms.
