"A drink after work" turned into a bottle of red at our Italian restaurant, Capo, in South Boston, just down the road from our, now, first apartment together.

After a vacation to Hilton Head, and with Liz, Rene and the kids set to visit the next day, we spent the day shopping and preparing for guests. Josh wasn't quite himself all day... just a touch anxious thinking about his evening plans for Melissa. Annoyed with Josh for having zero interest in dinner, Melissa reluctantly agreed to go out to the porch with him. There, with a hidden camera capturing the moment, Josh handed Melissa a poem to read aloud. At the poem's end, out came the ring and the proposal, overlooking the Boston skyline - a view that never gets old to either of us. She said yes (after being asked a second time), the ring fit (and she loved it), Mary and Ray and Matty also surprised her the following day to make the celebrations complete.
