Some love stories begin with a grand gesture or a chance encounter… ours was quietly unfolding long before we even knew it. Angelina, from a big Italian family, and Nicholas, from a big Greek family, spent years circling each other’s worlds. Angelina attended a Greek Orthodox church in Erie before moving to Pittsburgh (Nicholas’ hometown) for college. We joined the same fellowship group, lived in the same building, befriended the same people, and even attended the same events… yet, somehow, our paths never quite crossed. That is, until one unforgettable night at St. Nick’s Greek Festival in 2021. Angelina was serving pastitsio, and Nicholas was behind the bar. Somewhere between plating food and pouring drinks, we locked eyes (more than once). With a little fate and endless approval from the church’s unofficial matchmakers, we finally started talking… and haven’t stopped since. After three years of long-distance love and countless flights, we’re beyond blessed to finally start our forever side by side. Life is sweeter, fuller, and simply better together. We couldn’t be more excited to build a life of laughter, blend our families and traditions, and fill our Sundays with Mimi’s sauce, Hages baklava, Noodlehead Pad Thai and a whole lot of love. What better way to say "I do" than with all of our favorite people at the church where it all began?
