Zilker Metropolitan Park
Our (Charlie's) favorite park in the heart of Austin with views of the downtown skyline. Visit Barton Springs pool (a nice 68-70 degrees year round) or Zilker Botanical Gardens before heading down the road to grab a snack at one of our favorites Chuy's, El Ama or Terry Black's Barbecue!
South Congress
The location of many of our favorite dates. Enjoy many Austin local restaurant favorites such as Home Slice Pizza, Amy's Ice Cream, June's All Day and more. Stop by on Friday, Saturday or Sunday morning to shop the Soco Makers Market and other local Austin shops!
Mayfield Park and Nature Preserve
A peaceful garden and peacock reserve that happens to be to where we got engaged! Head down the street to hike Mount Bonnell for a beautiful view from the highest point in Austin.
East 6th Street
If breweries and live music are your thing, check out East 6th street. Make sure to stop by our favorite local brewery, Zilker Brewing. We recommend trying the Parks & Rec.
Lady Bird Lake
Savor the wonderful spring weather and take a walk or bike ride along Lady Bird Lake on the hiking trail. Watch out for Texas' famous bluebonnets which are typically blooming all around the trail this time of year!
