People find love at the most unexpected of times. Although it’s not rare to find love at a young age, it is rare for young love to blossom into an unwavering relationship that’s destined to last a lifetime. Ray and Angelica embody the love that people hope for, where each person has room to grow, is loved for who they are, and are able to support one another through good and bad times. For Ray and Angelica, their love story began in 2005. Ray and Angelica met when they were 12-years-old at Jefferson Middle School in Oceanside, CA. Ray was a soft-spoken, smart, and reserved kid and Angelica was outgoing, strong-willed and rebellious. Despite being in middle school and being too young to date, Angelica and Ray would spend lunch time together, walk each other to class, write notes to each other, and do whatever else they were able to do at school. They would eventually be featured as the “Cutest Couple” in their 8th grade yearbook. Once their middle school journey ended; we didn’t expect Ray and Angelica’s relationship to grow into what it has become. Ray and Angelica would rekindle their love throughout the years. Angelica moved in with Ray, and they began enjoying their life together. They would go on to adopt their fur-baby Irie, become godparents to their amazing god-daughter Izabella, go to concerts together, enjoy trips together, support each other’s ambitions, and so on. Not only did their love for one another grow, but they have individually grown up to be amazing people; Ray and Angelica balance each other out. Then on October 19, 2019, during a picnic at Jefferson Middle School, the school where they first met, Ray proposed to Angelica and asked her to marry him, and of course, she said yes! It was a happy day for everyone who loves them, and who knows the journey their love has taken. I know I speak for everyone when I say that I’m excited to celebrate Ray and Angelica’s love for another.
In light of COVID-19, health and safety are our top priority. Angelica and Ray have decided to keep things intimate since they do not foresee a change in this anytime soon. They are thankful for technology to be able to share one of the biggest milestones in their lives with family and friends for whom they care and love. Follow their wedding journey, see their latest wedding updates and send congratulations to the soon to be Mr. & Mrs. With lots of love, Angelica & Ray
