It all began during our first year of university, in the cafeteria, where a mutual friend introduced us. When I said, “Hi, I’m Angelica,” he smiled and replied with the line, “Like Angel?”, a little cliché, but it somehow worked. Not long after, I sent him a message on Facebook, inviting him to a friend’s get-together. My excuse? I needed a dominoes partner. (Fun fact: I had no idea how to play dominoes, I just knew he liked it!) The rest, as they say, is history. From that day on, we’ve grown together in love, laughter, and faith. The Lord has been at the centre of our relationship, guiding us through every season and blessing us beyond measure. Over the years, we’ve come to know that what we share is not just love, but a reflection of God’s grace and favour. On October 26, 2024, he asked me to be his forever, and with full hearts, we said yes to the next chapter the Lord has written for us. Now, as we prepare to celebrate with our favourite people, we’re reminded of where it all began, a university cafeteria, a cheesy pick-up line, and a game of dominoes we never quite played. (Which is why we’ll have giant dominoes on the lawn, a little wink to the day it all started.) We can’t wait to celebrate the love story that God so beautifully authored.
