The attire for the wedding is black tie optional/ formal attire. For the gentlemen, a timeless tuxedo or a suit would be appropriate. Ladies may wear floor-length gowns or elevated cocktail dresses. We recommend ladies bring something warm to wear over their dresses. Our beautiful bridesmaids will be wearing shades of gold if you prefer not to match.
Our family will be dressed up for the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner, but we do not expect guests stopping by for a drink to dress up. We know many of you will be arriving in Jacksonville that day, and we are so grateful for the effort it takes to travel and be with us. Please feel free to dress comfortably and in a way that feels right to you and the weather. If you enjoy an excuse to dress up, we will be dressed up too, but whatever makes you feel most comfortable is perfect.
Our ceremony will conclude around 3:30 PM, and cocktail hour will begin at 5:00 PM. We recommend heading back to your hotel to relax, freshen up, or change shoes if needed. You are also welcome to do whatever feels best for you during that time. Eat a light snack if you must, but we encourage you to save room, as we will have plenty of hors d’oeuvres and a charcuterie spread waiting for you at cocktail hour starting at 5:00 PM.
The Basilica has three parking lots, one in the front and two to the rear. Street parking is also free of charge on weekends. Epping Forest Yacht Club also offers free parking. If you plan to drink, we kindly encourage using Uber or a rideshare service. One convenient option is to drive and park at the church, then Uber from your hotel to the reception. Parking at the Southbank Hotel is $16 per day. There may also be free street parking nearby, including on Hendricks under the overpass, which is about a block from the hotel.
We love your little ones, but we have decided to keep our special day limited to adult guests only with the exception of immediate family. We truly appreciate your understanding.
