Maid of Honor
I met Paulina (Pina) in the 8th grade. As she tells it, I was one of the first people to speak to her as she was new to the school. Lol a big mistake for her it seems. Despite such, If there is anyone that knows me better than I know myself, this is that person. When we are together I am at ease, happy and always comfortable. I probably laughed the most in the 14+ years that we have known each other by being in her presence. I truly admire her as she is the part of me that I wish I could be but then realize, for what I cannot be, she is. From our coded words to facial expressions, I could not and would never want to imagine my life without her.

Haha Kay. As I started typing this I giggled. I love this girl. I think it is common for people to think that you only learn from those who are older and have endured more experiences than you. If there is one friend who has unknowing influenced my perceptions on life, it is Khayla. A young soul (she only 5 y/o y'all) with such profound knowledge, emotion and understanding, always eager to stand up and challenge what is unacceptable. I value our friendship your outlook on life, on people and on me is far more meaningful than I at times can perceive for myself. It was only natural that we would be friends or should I say family!

Shonda (said in Joy joy's voice). It is often said the you will meet your best friends in college. For me, that was not necessarily the case. When I look back on many of my greatest memories and experiences with friends, they are from high school with Rashonda. That one friend who hits you up and asks "what you doing?" and when you say nothing, they be like "cool I'm outside, let me in," that's her lol (apparently she has a golden key to our house to get in either way). I admire Rashonda for her strong personality, never being anything that she is not and always keeping it real. Anytime my dad gives up the recliner for her to sit in when she comes over means the she has solidified her place in not just my life, but my familys' too.
