July 2020 we visited family in Oregon and decided to stay at our favorite place for a night, McMenamins. I had no idea this stay would be completely different from any other.

Behind the scenes Andrew had been in contact with family, friends and staff at Edgefield coordinating the evening events. As I walked into our room Andrew was in a suit standing in front of two outfits with a note on top. I met Andrew in the courtyard for dinner thinking this was just another date night. While enjoying a drink, a photographer taking pictures in the area asked if she could get a picture of us. Shortly after Andrew excused himself to the restroom. While I waited our waitress informed me the courtyard would be closing and she would lead me to a new table. I followed her to a brick path. As I walked in I saw the photographer again. Completely confused I continued to the end. Rounding the last corner I saw Andrew at the end of the pathway waiting for me and the rest is history.
