We're getting married!

It all started out at the best local dairy queen in town. I (Wyatt) was just an employee working for his father and she was just a 17 year old girl trying to make some money. We saw each other a couple of times but she worked nights and I was working days over the summer of 2022. After a while I was starting to go broke and I had also just turned 16 so I was now driving. I started working night shifts and we finally actually talked for the first time. I thought she was cool and pretty cute and we started becoming friends. We both would tell each other about stupid things we have done (neither of us are perfect) but we got to make jokes and laugh about it. After a while we started talking to each other after work and started texting outside of work. At work people started to catch on that we liked each other and if you said the other person’s name, her and I would start blushing. So eventually we hung out for the first time by going to the mall and I influenced her into buying the best shoes ever Hey Dudes. After a while we finally figured out that we both officially liked each other. Pretty soon after that she asked if I would want to go skating with her and I said “Heck no.” I suggested something more catered towards my way of life, so I said let's get food. She said yes and on January 11th 2023, I took her out to chili’s, the most romantic place of all time. On that first date it was pretty awkward as it was my first date ever. It was normal teenage awkwardness and in my profound wisdom I go, “So, we’re dating right?” That might have been the greatest thing I have ever said (until I proposed). After I said that she was laughing and it was so awkward but she squeaked out a “Sureeee.” From there our relationship blossomed. We started going to church at SMC together and started meeting each other's family and friends. We were instantly loved by one another's family. We both ended up going to Lincoln Land together. She studied construction management and I am studying diesel technology. As we have grown together we have talked about where we each wanted our lives to go. Finally we started talking about marriage and what that meant for us. I told her I was thinking about proposing sometime this year, probably like November, or December 2025. My amazing godparents were hosting an end of the season pool party with all of our family and friends. It was Hawaiian themed so we went out and got matching Hawaiian shirts. She also started talking about getting her nails done so I just suggested she get Hawaiian themed nails also. The party was set for August 30th 2025. We started our day off as we usually would working at the best local dairy queen but little did she know today was going to be special. I had purposefully done things to throw her off, like having work that morning, or planning a “Oh no we forgot BBQ sauce” which would make us run home and throw her off more. Right as we circled up to pray I stepped out into the circle turned to her and said “ Angelete you are the love of my life will you marry me?” In shock yet again she said “Yesss!” After our wedding we plan on moving in together. She is planning on working for the local carpenters union and I am planning on being at Roland Machinery. We are so blessed with what the lord has done in our lives and can not wait to share the blessing of getting married with all of you there.
