Grab a pitcher of spotted cow and sit by the lake!
Head to the farmer's market on Saturday morning to enjoy local cheese, spicy cheese bread, fresh produce, flowers, jam, maple syrup, and so much more. Get there early to beat the crowds or go with the flow and enjoy the slow browsing pace.
If you're in Madison on Sunday afternoon stop by for the Mad-City Ski Team waterski show.
Check out the capitol building. You're welcome to explore on your own or join a tour. I recommend heading up to the observation deck for a great view of the city.
Small and quirky museum for mustard lovers.
Great spot to rent kayaks and canoes and paddle around the lake.
If you have kiddos with you the children's museum is a blast!
Lovely walking trail out to picnic point where you can get a great view of the Madison skyline.
Lots of shops and restaurants. This street is a straight shot from the capitol building to the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus where you can either head up Bascom hill to poke around the University or over to the memorial union to sit by lake Mendota with a spotted cow, a brat, and perhaps some ice cream from the Daily Scoop.
Another fun street to explore with restaurants, bars, shops, and several nice parks.
