The Emmanuels

On October 1st, 2023, a mutual friend and Praise’s brother had a strong feeling that we should meet (and now it’s clear that this feeling was truly from God). So, they went ahead and connected us. Praise sent the first message, and from that moment on, we couldn’t stop talking. We spent the entire Sunday texting and getting to know each other. Just two days later, on October 3rd, 2023, we had our first date at Swirl and Twirl, enjoying frozen yogurt and lots of laughter. We ended the evening at Barnes & Noble, where we picked out books together—a sweet and spontaneous end to a perfect first date. And now, exactly two years later, by God’s incredible plan, on October 3rd, 2025, we’ll be standing hand in hand, beginning a new chapter as husband and wife. We’re so grateful to God for bringing us together and forever thankful for His love toward us. October will always be the month everything changed for us—a time that marked the beginning of love, laughter, and a future we can’t wait to build together with Jesus. We’re so excited to relive that joy with all of you on our wedding day.
