Question

What are the travel requirements when traveling to the Philippines?

Answer

***This information is as of September 2022. Keep in mind requirements may change and be more lax by December 2022. We will make edits as the information gets updated. According to the US Embassy in the Philippines, "Although travel to the Philippines is now permitted, U.S. citizens should know and comply with arrival and departure requirements as promulgated by the Philippine government, which generally include the following as a minimum: Being fully vaccinated, except for minor children below age 12 traveling with fully vaccinated parents who can present acceptable proof of vaccination. Unvaccinated foreign nationals will not be allowed admission into the Philippines, and; Passport valid for at least six (6) months at the time of entry. When making travel plans, check destination-specific travel requirements to avoid unnecessary delays. If you are fully vaccinated with at least one booster shot, you are no longer required to provide a negative RT-PCR test, provided you present proof of vaccination along with your valid passport and return tickets; see IATF Resolution 168  for more information. If you are unvaccinated, partially vaccinated and do not have boosters, you are subject to quarantine upon arrival. You have the option to choose your quarantine facility. A list of quarantine facilities is available on the BOQ website. The Philippine government requires all arriving passengers to complete a BOQ e-Health Declaration Card (e-HDC). This includes children. You can register up to three days in advance of your departure for the Philippines through the BOQ’s One Health Pass webpage. Remember to save a copy of the transaction number and QR code, which will be required by Philippine immigration authorities." For more information: https://ph.usembassy.gov/

Question

What airlines do you recommend for flights to the Philippines?

Answer

We recommend Philippine Airlines as they have 13-15 hour direct flights from LAX to Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila. However, because it is peak season, it is pricey so book as early as you can. For more affordable flights with stops, you can also checkout Singapore Airlines or Korean Air.

Question

What is weather like in Baguio during December?

Answer

One of the best times to travel to Baguio are the winter months because of the pleasantly cooler weather and less rainfall. However, as Baguio is a mountain town and located some 4,600 feet above sea level, it can get rather cold especially at night. Baguio weather in December, according to Weather Spark, states "Daily high temperatures are around 71°F, rarely falling below 67°F or exceeding 75°F. Daily low temperatures decrease by 2°F, from 59°F to 56°F, rarely falling below 52°F or exceeding 61°F." You should be comfortable with a T-shirt during the day but certainly opt for something warmer at night.
