We're Getting Married!

This love story began back in 2005. Angel and Aunri first met each other in the 7th grade at Ludington Magnet Middle School. Aunri was the “new kid” at school and was placed in the same math class as Angel. It has been said that Angel was the better math student, but who really remembers such things?? During this time, Aunri gave Angel the nickname.. “Angel Eyes” (smooth, right?). This was just the beginning of a friendship turned romance. Upon graduating from Ludington, Angel and Aunri attended different high schools. However, during the summer of sophomore year, they ran into each other. The two exchanged numbers and promised to keep in touch. Fast forward 4 years later to their sophomore year of college (Welcome Weekend to be exact) - Angel and Aunri had another serendipitous encounter at their alma mater, Central Michigan University. They were excited to see each other again. Angel informed Aunri that she’d transferred from Tennessee State University to Central Michigan University. Aunri was clearly happy to see a pretty and familiar face on campus. Although they only saw each other a handful of times, usually at Kaya Coffee House, they always made sure to keep in touch as friends. The year 2018 was the year that changed both of their lives for the better. This was another seminal chapter in their book of love. Angel received a phone call that September (not knowing Aunri lived in Boston at the time), and was invited to Joe Muer’s for dinner with some of his friends. Angel accepted the offer and the two have been inseparable ever since. The long distance only made these two grow closer. They committed to flying back and forth to see one another every month, and on March 18, 2019 they decided to make their relationship "official". In the midst of the pandemic, these two found a way to fortify their relationship and to deepen their connection. Luckily for the both of them, in 2021, Aunri received a unique opportunity to move back home to Michigan where he could finally be closer to Angel and his family. Our story is especially unique and very near and dear to our hearts. We thank God for writing us in each other’s lives.
