Our StoryOur Story

Nearly a decade ago in Boston, John and Angela first met. Neither could have guessed that a simple introduction would lead to a love story that would one day bring them back to the same city—this time, walking down the aisle. Most couples can easily pinpoint their first date, but John and Angela’s story, of course, isn’t quite so “traditional.” Ask Angela, and she’ll say their first date was at Border Café in Burlington—mainly because John picked up the check. Ask John, and he’ll insist it wasn’t a date at all, but a casual dinner to finally meet the captivating woman he’d been texting for months (and to give her a Christmas gift he had been holding onto for far too long). Whatever you call it, they spent three hours at dinner, laughing, telling stories, and realizing they were the last two in the restaurant. Date or just a dinner, one thing was clear: they were counting down the days to see each other again. From there, weekends quickly filled with drives back and forth—Angela in Massachusetts, John in Connecticut. Long-distance is rarely easy, but they made it work. Whether it was pizza nights, movie marathons, or Angela proofreading John’s segments before he sent them in, everything they did together was full of laughter and love. Then John took “long-distance” to a whole new level by relocating to Orlando, Florida. Suddenly, three-hour car rides became three-hour flights. Still, they adjusted. And when the pandemic hit just a few months later, Angela’s “two-week visit” to Orlando turned into a permanent move—with her new dog, Monroe, in tow. To this day, John (a self-proclaimed non-dog person) swears Angela orchestrated a whole plan—with the help of her niece Gyanna—to make sure Monroe became part of their little Orlando family. Through every move, milestone, and Monroe’s mischief, John and Angela have built a life full of support, laughter, and countless stories. As John likes to say—usually with Angela rolling her eyes—“It always works out, hun. It always does.” and “We do for the stories.” Together John and Angela have more stories to write together, including their biggest story yet on May 2, 2026—celebrating their wedding day surrounded by the friends and family they love most.
