After years of pushing from a close mutual friend, Jacob finally built up the nerve to ask Angela out after a Christmas party in 2020 (with help from a bit of liquid courage). They went on their first date one week prior to Christmas. Jacob was in such a hurry to see Angela again, he casually brought up needing help wrapping his family Christmas gifts as a way to get her to invite him over. When Jacob showed up to Christmas with decently wrapped gifts, his family immediately knew he was seeing someone. The couple soon began to meet each other's families and found that they both fit right in. Over the course of the next few years, Jacob and Angela continued growing their love for one another and creating memories they will never forget. Together, they have pushed each other to try new things, supported one another through thick and thin, and bought their first home. On April 29th, 2024 at Piazza Imo on The Hill, Jacob surprised Angela by getting down on one knee and asking her to marry him.
