Jenya and I met shortly after I had moved to NYC. At that time I was a hostess (at the same restaurant my sister Adaire was also employed) Two handsome men came in (Jenya and his brother Misha) I seated them with my sister to serve them. As a hostess I was supposed to stay near the hostess stand but I looked for every opportunity I could to be closer... including refolding napkins that had already been prepared and polishing silverware that didn’t need to be polished. As they were leaving Jenya handed me a note with his name and number and told me to contact him so we could meet. I was surprised and incredibly flattered as our interaction had been very limited and had consisted mostly of me staring like an infatuated school girl. I was on cloud nine when five minutes after leaving, Jenya came back into the restaurant and asked if he could also have my number. His brother apparently convinced him that I may never message him and that if he wanted to meet up again- he should also make sure to have my number. Jenya messaged straight away to set up a date for the next day and then the following and the following... We have been seeing each other ever since.
