The baraat is the joyous and vibrant wedding procession that marks the groom’s arrival at the ceremony. Traditionally, the groom makes his entrance on a decorated horse (or sometimes in a car or carriage), accompanied by family and friends dancing to lively music and drums. This celebration symbolizes the groom’s journey to meet his bride and her family. As the procession reaches the venue, the bride’s family welcomes the groom with rituals, marking the union of both families and the beginning of the wedding festivities.
