We met on a dating app in May 2019. We both swiped right and spent 24 hours texting. Then the next 24 hours talking on the phone. Next thing you know we had planned to have a breakfast date the following Saturday but instead had a breakfast date that same night at a diner. We kept our breakfast date the next morning. From then on, that summer, we saw each other every weekend. August 2019, we adopted a dog together. Fall of 2019, we realized we were spending more and more time at his place. Then Covid lockdown hit and boom, we were living together and have been ever since.

On Christmas Eve of 2023, Sheldon planned an outing to Untermyer Gardens to see the Christmas lights. It was cold but beautiful. We toured the gardens and, under the lit arch, Sheldon got on one knee and proposed. The first thing Angela said was “Are you for real” the “yes” followed. So there under the bright Christmas lights, we got engaged and got to bring in the New Year as an engaged couple.
