We used to spend a lot of time back in the gym in our single days. There's something about not having someone that really motivates you to show yourself off and scout out the opportunities in the area. That is when one night after work Ryley saw this 5'10" brunette lady stroll through completely oblivious to the young pup on the treadmill progressively increasing the speed as she walked by. Immediately that night, I (Ryley) told my brother Mitchell about this girl at the gym. Well, a few more sightings at the gym and her schedule was documented down to a T. She very quickly became a topic of discussion over supper as "Ryley's Gym Girl". There's one code you never break in a gym and that's going up to a girl and trying to bust a move so a month or so went by, no interaction. But if there's one thing we could rely on the 21st century providing us it would be.......dating apps! I'm sure many of you are assuming Tinder, but it was actually Bumble (classy, we know). This made things more exciting because if the two of you end up matching, the female gets 24 hours to respond. I was at my friend Jake's house when the notification came through that we had matched and the clock started. Angie didn't make it easy on me (running it down to about 4 hours left) and I was ready to pay the app and renew the 24 hour clock when FINALLY...."Ding", "Angie has sent you a message". Hook.Line.Sinker. Some small awkward messaging back and forth followed by a few dates and we knew we had something special. As the early dating faded and matured into a more serious relationship, we knew it was going to be something more than what we had previously experienced. There was something about us that just clicked. Our goals, aspirations, and hobbies were all in sync. There's a country song that goes something like "I fell in love with the farmer's daughter" and it couldn't be truer.
